This is a great recording device. I’m the drummer for Alloy, a rock band in Miami, and we use it to record our rehearsals. The sound quality is very good, we can record more than 17 hours on a 2 GB SD card at 256 kbps (MP3 file)

I purchased the Zoom H2 primarily because I needed to record some interviews, and I wanted to actually be able to understand what was said when I reviewed the recording later (something that my old cassette recorder often failed to deliver). The Zoom H2 did a splendid job. I set it on a nearby table, and it captured the entire conversation with excellent sound quality. All I had to do was turn it on and off.

I originally wanted a voice recorder for classes, but when I saw the H2 I figured I would save money in the long run getting a device that could also act as a recording interface for my guitar. I have not been dissapointed. The audio quality for recording conferences is excellent, especially if you are sitting in the first couple rows. Recording sessions are very easy and it has many cool functions (compressors, limiters, etc.) if you’re more of an audiophile. The instruction manual is designed for somebody who has not done recording before, so I found it very helpful.
